eventframework was part of the team that managed the Bryan
Adams concert in May. Bryan Adams sang to a packed out stadium at Ashton
Gate, supported by Fame Academy winner, David Sneddon. All proceeds from
the concert went directly to the Variety Club of Great Britain, South
West.
eventframework had specific responsibility for PR
and media coverage, both before, during and after the event, and
also managed the after-show party.
We arranged for three children from the Variety Club to meet Bryan Adams
and David Sneddon before they went on stage to sing. The children were
obviously delighted and took away happy memories and good photos!
An additional £5,000 was collected on the night from the audience.
Variety Club of Great Britain is billed as the "Greatest Children's
Charity in the World" and raises much needed funds for sick, disabled & disadvantaged
children across the globe. The South West Region, although still in its
infancy, have been involved with numerous great projects. We donated £250k
to the newly built Bristol Children's Hospital, £50k to the Bath
RUH and we donate many Sunshine Coaches each year. Various fundraising
events take place each year - the Annual Gold Heart Ball, Golden Heart
Golf Challenge and Ladies Lunch Clubs to name but a few. All monies raised
in the South West are spent locally and many local children benefit from
the generosity of others.
