‘theHRDIRECTOR’ is a leading HR publication, with a readership of over 12,500 HR directors and other senior HR  practitioners both in the UK and abroad.

Heather Parsons, of eventframework, was invited to become Editor from the very early days of the magazine.  She had a wide remit, including:

• Setting and upholding the editorial policies and standards
• Commissioning all content and managing the production of each monthly issue plus additional supplements and the website, ensuring that all were delivered on time and to budget
• Interviewing senior HR practitioners and writing in-depth reviews.

Effective liaison with the design team was vital to develop and maintain consistently high creative standards, and she also recruited and managed the Editorial Advisory Panel of HR experts (including representatives from Microsoft UK, Gallup, GSK and Serco).  Chairing the magazine’s annual diversity conference and regular roundtable discussions with HR experts was another important part of her role.

In addition, she worked closely with the Managing Director and other senior team members to shape the company’s growth strategy and to achieve the company’s aim of being “the number one HR magazine for HR directors”.
